Recipes to keep kids busy & happy in the kitchen

Play Doh

1 cup flour
1 cup water
1/2 cup salt
1 TBSP Vegetable oil
2 tsp cream of tartar
food coloring

Combine in saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly
until mixture forms a ball.
Knead until smooth.




Finger Paints

1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup liquid detergent
Food coloring or poster paint



Invisible Ink

2 spoons of water
2 spoons of salt

Mix until dissolved.

Dip a toothpick into the "ink"
and write a message.

Let dry for 1/2 hour.
Brush off the salt and your
message will be invisible.

Rub the paper with a pencil to see the message.




Plasticine

1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil (or a few drops liquid soap)
1/2 cup water
food coloring

Mixing the salt and hot water together to dissolve salt.
Add remaining ingredients.
